The british government is now prohibiting suspects to attend secondary-school-level science courses. The thing is, the suspect does not even have to be charged. It’s enough if some secret service says the person is dangerous, no proof needs to be published.

Control orders were introduced by the UK government under the 2005 Prevention of Terrorism Act as a way of restricting the activities of suspected terrorists when prosecution would mean “revealing sensitive and dangerous intelligence”.

I wonder when children of suspects will be banned from such courses, too, because they could tell their parents. The step to banning greater groups, be it religious or otherwise, would be only small.

Also, if school books are dangerous, like my 12th grade biology book, what about other public resources? The subway timetable, for example?

All this reminds me somewhat of witch-hunts and the inquistion I learned about in history class. Is this dangerous knowledge as well?
